She particularly asked for Monique, and she said that she wasn’t ready to meet anyone else. So, she goes to her house and Evelyn takes her by surprise by asking her to write a biography about the actress’s life. She said that she would disclose all the events of her life which included her seven marriages. She also included that all the profit from the book was Monique’s and as everyone wanted to know about Evelyn’s life, she could make a huge profit from it.
She took the deal and Evelyn started to narrate the story. She talked about how her mom had died when she was a kid and how her dad was abusive. And how she got married in order to reach Hollywood. She then explained the entire timeline of her marriages and the reasons why she dived into those marriages. She even disclosed who was her true love and not to forget the unbreakable bond between Henry and Evelyn. The book ends with an unexpected twist that will leave its readers amazed.
The conclusion is very well rounded up. The readers cannot predict where the story is taking them at any point while reading. In the end it leaves us with the question if the decision that Monique took was morally right. It also gives a sneak peek into the lives of the people who belonged to the LGBTQIA+ community in the olden days and how the times have been changing since then. It is very well written. It keeps the readers entertained throughout. And the characters and all the love stories will leave you happy if you are a hopeless romantic. Overall, the book is worth giving a read.
